My name is Sara Cruz, founder of GO! Walks Portugal.

I am passionate for UNESCO Sites, Music, Traveling, Sustainable & Conscious Living, Animals and Portuguese History & Culture!
‍
Coimbra, in Central Portugal, is my home: the place where I was born and my favorite city in Portugal, classified as World Heritage since 2013!

I am graduated in Tourism, Leisure & Heritage by the University of Coimbra and worked as Manager, Travel Consultant and Tour Guide between 2012 and 2020 in my own Tourism Company called GO! Leisure & Heritage. During those years I have built many themed and tailored routes throughout Portugal, so I have a deep knowledge about the country not only on paper but also because of my experience.

Because of COVID19 I was pushed away from guiding tours for a while, but I haven’t given up on doing what I love most which is promoting my beautiful and inspiring Country… so I invite you to join me on a journey through the most impressive areas of Portugal, especially if you are interested in unique secluded places and Portuguese History!

My main "confinement project" was creating a YouTube Channel under the name “GO! Walks Portugal”. There I make available virtual tours, travel vlogs, “tips & tricks” and other travel & living related content about Portugal… completely for free... so JOIN ME THERE!

In the spring of 2021 I restarted working at the Cultural Association where I did my internship back in 2011: Fado ao Centro. There, together with my friends, all former students of the University of Coimbra and graduated in different areas of knowledge, we promote and defend a very special kind of music associated with the Academic Traditions of our University, classified as an Intangible Heritage: "Canção de Coimbra" (AKA Fado de Coimbra). We organize live shows everyday so if you're in Coimbra make sure to ask me about reserving a seat and come witness this very special "Serenade Song"!

Currently I am also managing an Instagram and Facebook Page, where you can learn about what I’ve been up to! Everyday I make available stories about my days traveling throughout Portugal, what I've been working on for YouTube, my adventures at Fado ao Centro Cultural Association, and much more.

I am obviously available for hire as a Tour Guide and Travel Consultant! If by any chance I am not available on your wished day or schedule, I know a few other amazing freelancer certified tour guides who will be very happy to represent me and welcome you in our Country.
